2. How to use tile adhesive - steps for using tile adhesive
Step one: Moisten the construction wall and ground first.
The inside of walls and floors must be kept dry, and the surfaces of walls and floors need to be kept smooth. Uneven or rough surfaces can be smoothed with cement mortar;
Step 2: Remove floating dust, oil and other stains from the tile base.
When using tile adhesive, ensure the cleanliness of the base layer, otherwise it will affect the adhesion of the tile adhesive;
Step 3: Adjust the adhesive first.
The water-cement ratio is about 1:4, stir evenly, and the binder should be used up within 5 to 6 hours (it should be used up in a shorter time when the temperature is relatively high and the light is sufficient);
Step 4: Lay bricks.
Use a professional "toothed scraper" to evenly scrape the glue on the work surface, and evenly apply the glue on the base surface and the back of the ceramic tile. When laying tiles, knead the tiles onto the base surface with your hands. For tiles laid within 15 minutes, you can use a rubber hammer to tap lightly to adjust the parallelism of the tiles.
3. How to use tile adhesive - Precautions for using tile adhesive
1. Using an electric mixer to mix tile adhesive will have better results;
2. Adjust the proportion of tile glue powder appropriately according to the substrate, weather, construction conditions, etc.;
3. When constructing on rainy days, be sure to provide shelter and protectionMeasures should be taken to ensure that the construction area is not wetted by rainwater within 24 hours of construction;
4. Ceramic tile glue should be used within 2-3 hours according to weather conditions;
5. Do not mix the dried tile glue with water before using it;
6. After the tile laying is completed, the tile adhesive mortar must be completely dry (about 24 hours) before the caulking process can be carried out;
7. The tile adhesive should be applied evenly and fully, and the thickness of the adhesive layer should be approximately half the tooth pitch of the toothed scraper used.
