In recent years, Iran has become a key word in international issues. There have been many conflicts, incidents, and negotiations, but this does not hinder people's pursuit of a comfortable life. Today's case is a set of open-ended homes with both a sense of security and a sense of life. villa.
Vanoosh Villa
This villa was completed in 2017 and designed by the MohammadReza Aghaie team. From the appearance, it gives people a distinctive visual character.
“Iranian traditional architecture teaches us how to create spaces that are safe, flexible, and responsive to the needs of residents. Modern architecture teaches us to eliminate unnecessary architectural elements, not lifestyles.”
It is hard to imagine that such a design case full of irregular elements also incorporates traditional Iranian architectural thinking.
The original intention of the designer was to achieve the utmost simplification of the space while satisfying the living traditions of local Iranian residents. In order to achieve this requirement, they used decentralized and separated structures to formulate the overall layout of the villa.
The designer did not limit the living area to a certain part, but designed different spaces in several places on the land. These different spaces are mainly divided into three main areas: a place for cooking and a place for sleeping. place and a gathering place.
In the overall design concept, each part has its own independent area, while they are connected to each other through some corridors. These corridors have flexible walls that can be removed during the seasons, reinforcing the sense of isolation between the components. Furthermore, this sense of isolation can be promoted more effectively by using movable walls in key locations.

The decomposition + connection design also meets the owner’s privacy and security requirements.The design and layout are designed to make people invisible. The interconnected passages and staggered layout cover most of the living areas. The large number of green plants also play a certain role in creating a comfortable and introverted space to provide residents with privacy.
Such a design that is both open and concealed seems very contradictory, but it is indeed realized. With the help of transparent materials and open-air layout, residents can enjoy the external landscape from the inside of the villa at any time while hiding their living environment. The light is also maximized through the careful layout.
On the other hand, the decentralized layout of this villa provides better ventilation, allowing prevailing winds to come in from the northwest and cool the entire house in the summer.
It is worth mentioning that a mesh-like, semi-open roof was designed and installed above the villa. This is not only another attempt to enhance privacy, but also a good place to plant climbing plants, especially in northern Iran. In areas with humid climates, green coverings extend the building into its surroundings.
Privacy and openness have always been the ultimate problems in architectural interior design.
The two seemingly incompatible elements have been comprehensively balanced in the hands of Iranian designers. This villa design may provide our designers with a unique and innovative reference answer.
